Quick Garlic-Parmesan Breadsticks

I just tried a recipe that I found well worth sharing from Razzle Dazzle Recipes called
Stir and Bake Italian Garlic Breadsticks

1 package dry yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water (110 degrees)
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup lukewarm water (110 degrees)
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup flour
1 egg, beaten

Soften yeast in 1/2 cup water and sugar until yeast starts to foam; if it does not foam, it is inactive and should be discarded. To the bowl, add the 1 cup water, 3 cups flour, 1 tbl. sugar and salt. Beat for about 3 minutes until dough is very smooth (this takes the place of kneading). Now slowly beat in the remaining 1 cup of flour until blended. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured board and shape into a smooth ball.

Divide the dough into 24 pieces. Roll each piece of dough between your palms to form a 1/4" thick rope, and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse grind garlic powder, and/or grated Parmesan cheese. Bake in a 400ºF oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until tops are lightly browned. Makes 24 bread sticks.

It worked really well, my only change would be to use "garlic salt" instead of "garlic powder" but then I am a salt freak! But I hope you try it and enjoy!
